This article is published in Futuribles journal no.437, juillet-août 2020

To close our ‘Covid-19: Causes Impacts and Strategies’ forum, which aims to cast light on different — economic, social, health-related, food-related, ecological etc. — aspects of the Covid-19 crisis, our agrifood specialist Céline Laisney offers an insight into what the crisis in this sector has led to or revealed. She shows, for example, that the crisis, which for many actors has constituted a genuine break with the past, has served mainly to accelerate a number of already emergent tendencies with regard to food supply, local consumption, organic products, eating habits etc. She closely examines these developments and the prospect of their becoming lasting trends.
