Integration of Immigrants: Which One?
Japanese society, which used to be in the past extremely homogeneous and unified by identical values – such as “authoritarian asceticism”, is discovering itself to be “multi” because there are foreigners on its territory and because its social cohesion is weakening. Thus, it will have to learn about the “other” and equip itself with a new philosophic-ideological framework more open to diversity.
