IARAN - Inter-Agency Research and Analysis Network
The Inter-Agency Research and Analysis Network (IARAN) is a collaborative hub of humanitarian professionals and they have decades of collective experience working within the sector. They self-manage and work across different operating aid agencies and governing bodies, but they come together, through the IARAN network, because we they share a common vision: an equitable and connected humanitarian ecosystem to enhance SDGs contributions. Collaborative working is central to the ethos of the IARAN and is the basis of its operating model. The Inter-Agency Research and Analysis Network (IARAN) concept originated in the French think tank, Institut des Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (IRIS) in 2012. The IARAN was implemented and ran for 6 years, embedded in Save the Children (2013 -2014) and Action Against Hunger (2014-2018) led by Michel Maietta and Eilidh Kennedy. In 2019, IARAN became an independent entity providing analytical and strategy support to a wider variety of humanitarian stakeholders. A book reviewing the results of the IARAN research project and exploring the tools and methods that the IARAN developed will be published in the autumn of 2021. www.iaran.org
