VERNE Jules
French Writer Jules Verne was born in Nantes in 1828 and died in Amiens in 1905. After studying law, he devoted most of his work to futurology and science fiction. In addition to the 54 volumes of his Voyages extraordinaires (written over nearly 40 years), his most famous novels include Cinq Semaines en ballon (1863), Voyage au centre de la Terre (1864) and Le Tour du monde en 80 jours (1872).
