It did, however, seem important to us to raise different \u2014&nbsp;economic, social, health, food-related and ecological&nbsp;\u2014 aspects of the phenomenon while still \u2018in the thick of the crisis.\u2019\n\nYannick Blanc shows here the extent to which this event, which we may describe in the normal language of foresight studies as a \u2018trend break\u2019, makes recourse to foresight particularly necessary.
