With the education system seemingly unable to stem educational failure and revive social mobility, she bemoans the constant flurry of announcements of educational reform that are made with no regard to correctly assessing needs on the ground or the effects of previous reforms. When time is taken to do that, it becomes evident that a number of tools and practices deployed in the last decade or so have turned out to be effective and, where tried, have enabled some dysfunctions to be rectified, whether in terms of social inequality and diversity, citizenship awareness or ecological challenges etc. Najat Vallaud-Belkacem re-visits these approaches that might be able to address a number of prospective issues in the education of young people and improve both their own skills and the cohesion of the society of which they are part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span class=\"image-caption-component-legende\">The article is downloadable only in French.
