{"id":63583,"date":"2022-11-23T16:13:56","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T15:13:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.futuribles.com\/faq\/peut-on-evaluer-une-demarche-prospective\/"},"modified":"2023-12-12T14:48:03","modified_gmt":"2023-12-12T13:48:03","slug":"peut-on-evaluer-une-demarche-prospective","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/www.futuribles.com\/en\/faq\/peut-on-evaluer-une-demarche-prospective\/","title":{"rendered":"Can a Foresight Exercise be Evaluated?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='post-container'><div class=\"intro-bloc-component blocs-spaces\">\n  <div class=\"gs-container\">\n    <div class=\"gs-row\">\n      <div class=\"@lg:gs-column-9\">\n        <div class=\"intro-bloc-component__content\">\n          <p>We need to differentiate here between:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The relevance criteria of the conjectures made about the future (the contents);<\/li>\n<li>The relevance criteria of a foresight exercise (the processes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conjectures made about the future have a value if:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They are <strong>reasoned <\/strong>and therefore plausible within a definite time-frame (the dynamics or conditions that would enable them to occur within that time-frame can be convincingly explained).<\/li>\n<li>They are characterized in terms of their <strong>probability or uncertainty<\/strong> (including where these are only relative).<\/li>\n<li>They are sufficiently precise to be <strong>refutable<\/strong> (at the end of the time-frame of the foresight study, it will be possible to say whether a particular hypothesis turned out to be correct or not).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Foresight exercises have relevance if:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is one (or more) <strong>client(s) or sponsor(s)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>objectives<\/strong> of the exercise (and the assessment criteria) are relatively clearly defined.<\/li>\n<li>The results are not pre-ordained and the conditions for <strong>an unrestricted process of thinking<\/strong> are put in place.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>time-frames <\/strong>of the exercise are specified.<\/li>\n<li>The degree of <strong>participation<\/strong> and the roles of the various actors involved in the exercise have been discussed.<\/li>\n<li>There is a <strong>proper fit <\/strong>between the goals of the exercise and the (human and financial) resources and time allocated to it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n        <\/div>\n        <div class=\"intro-bloc-component__miniContent\">\n          \n        <\/div>\n              <\/div>\n          <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-63583","faq","type-faq","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.futuribles.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faq\/63583","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.futuribles.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faq"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.futuribles.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/faq"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.futuribles.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=63583"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
